Our wide range of activities include den building, tree climbing, crafting, making fires, cooking……. the list really is as large as their imagination!
Over the 6 week block, they will start to develop new skills, learning by stealth, and from their peers as those with skills are encouraged to share them with the others in the group, which improves confidence and belief in their abilities.
If Saturday afternoons don’t suit, remember the After School sessions can be used as an after school club rather than a childcare need.
During your childs time with us they will be encouraged to experience den building, cooking, designing and making their own crafts, developing fantastic life skills or just playing with their friends – all in a woodland environment. With us children learn to risk assess their own activities, gain confidence in their own abilities, learn new skills and are encouraged to pass on their learning to the other children in the group.
All this takes place in a supportive environment led by experienced & qualified staff with a ratio of 1:6. We follow the Forest School ethos of putting the child at the centre of their own learning, encouraging them to develop themselves at a rate appropriate for them.
Children should arrive ready to start playing and dressed for the weather conditions on that day.
